2011 – 2012 KSNA Plan of Work

Issue 1:  There is a need to identify and nurture potential leadership within the association to maintain the viability of an ever changing program.

Outcomes:
1. A highly qualified pool of trained and prepared emerging leaders to lead the state association.
2. Seamless transitions throughout the progression of officers.
3. Involved, empowered members.
4. Meet or exceed membership goals as set by SNA.

Issue 3: Modifications to school nutrition programs in the near future will create a need for KSNA to help members adapt to these changes.

Outcomes:
1. Members embrace the challenges and opportunities brought on by change.
2. Members are equipped with the tools needed to be successful. (Increase competence and
confidence).
3. Members understand new legislation and how to apply on the school level.
4. Increase number of schools in Kentucky with Healthier US School Challenge.
