Issue 1: Increasing food and labor costs compounded by inadequate funding can cause school nutrition programs to make changes that negatively impact their programs including wellness, staff training and nutrition training.
Desired Outcomes: 1. Increase funding through reauthorization efforts. 2. Endorse national food standards in order to stabilize food cost.

Quality School nutrition programs will be recognized by their districts, communities, media and state legislators as essential components of the school day.
