I am already Level 1 certified but want to become certified at Level 2 or 3?

Since you already have completed the core course requirements, you will just have to fulfill the other requirements for Level 2 or 3 certification. (see chart)

What is the difference between CEUs (Continuing Education Units) and Key Area Requirements?

Key Area Requirements are for those individuals who are working toward level 2 or 3 certification & must be at least 2 hrs in length. CEUs (must be at least 1 hour in length) are for those individuals who are currently certified and working toward certification renewal.

Do Key Area classes/trainings that I obtained before Sept. 1, 2008 count even if they weren’t 2 hours in length?

Yes, they were earned before September 1, 2008 and approved.
